We Are Looking For A Teacher Who

Are you a caring, reliable, and proactive individual who is passionate about helping children thrive? North Nibley C of E Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and nurturing team. This full-time, term-time role will involve supporting individual pupils with SEND and assisting with group activities in the classroom.
What You’ll Do
You’ll work closely with teachers and the SENDCo to:

Support pupils with SEND through tailored activities, both 1:1 and in small groups.

Help children develop their speech, language, and social skills.

Clarify instructions, motivate pupils, and help them use resources effectively.

Use praise, encouragement, and consistent behaviour strategies to help children stay on task.

Support pupils with routines, transitions, and emotional regulation.

Monitor progress and share feedback with the teacher and SENDCo.

Accompany pupils on trips and offer support during exam sessions if needed.

Teaching Assisstant Jo Description
Club Assistant (Breakfast & After School Club)
North Nibley Primary School is expanding its wraparound provision and is seeking a Club Assistant to help deliver a safe, fun, and nurturing Breakfast and After School Club for children aged 4 to 11 (Reception to Year 6). The role supports both the early morning and afternoon clubs and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and creating a warm, welcoming environment.
The successful applicant will work alongside the Nibley Nook Club Manager to supervise children, serve snacks, facilitate games and activities, and ensure the smooth running of both sessions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Supporting Children’s Wellbeing:
Supervise children during club hours, ensuring their safety and happiness.
Build positive relationships with children, encouraging confidence, cooperation, and kindness.
Support children with snack routines, transitions, and group play.
Ensure safe handover between parents/carers and school staff.
2. Activity Support & Engagement:
Assist in delivering a range of play-based and creative activities suitable for all age groups.
Join in with games, stories, crafts, and physical activities—indoors and out.
Help set up and tidy activity areas, ensuring they are clean, welcoming, and stimulating.
3. Food Preparation & Hygiene:
Help prepare and serve simple snacks and breakfast items.
Promote good hygiene practices and encourage independence in children.
Follow food hygiene and allergy protocols.
4. Working as Part of a Team:
Work collaboratively with the Wraparound Club Manager and any additional staff or volunteers.
Communicate effectively with other team members to maintain routines and expectations.
Attend training in safeguarding, food hygiene, and first aid as required.
Working Hours & Conditions
Breakfast Club: 7.30am – 8.45am (Monday to Friday)
After School Club: 3.05pm – 6.00pm (Monday to Thursday)
Term Time Only (No school holiday work required). Start in September 2025
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent
Expected Hours: Approx. 21 hours per week
