Superstars


Many of you will be aware that Superstars (breakfast and after-school club) are recruiting.
“Superstars Activity Club Ltd run breakfast and after school clubs caring for children in primary schools every day before and after school, these sessions represent their free time while parents are (for example) working or studying (or sometimes for their social development too).

We run a breakfast and after school club at North Nibley Primary School every week day in term time and we are looking for a talented, motivated and caring person to join our team.

Normal working hours are Monday to Friday 07:25-08:55 & 14:45-18:00 (23.75 hours per week)

Pay rates for Playworkers will start from £8.91 per hour (£9099.34 per annum) and further career progression and training opportunities will be made available to the successful applicant. Experience in a professional child care setting is an advantage, although with an experienced qualified manager in place we welcome anyone with the right skills and those who believe they have something they could add to our existing staff team and club looking for a new career.

The key things we consider ‘essential’ for this role are;

  1. Being caring
  2. Being motivated (setting up, feeding, clearing up makes for a busy work environment most days)
  3. Being vigilant and able to see / hear the sad child or argument in a busy room
  4. Having a willingness to work with a small team environment (we are there to set up the environment, protect the children, feed them, encourage and look after them and also to back up each other in a busy staff team…. and will join in when they ask, but we do the serious work, sharing the duties and helping each other while they play!).
