Learning online

During this difficult time for our families, friends and staff, we want to continue to support learning, so much of our work is moving online.

We will use our Class Dojo channel to share work tasks, activities and ideas to help you fend off boredom! Below is a model timetable, with forthcoming events around which you can plan your week.

Although none of us wanted to be in this position, we are determined to use our considerable creative skills to rise to the challenge and support our community.

CORE LEARNING

If you are well, if you can, class teachers would like you to try a piece of English every day. They will be posting the tasks on CLASS DOJO.

Just as before, we expect children to read every day, hopefully with an adult or older sibling. To support you we have signed up to https://www.oxfordowl.co.uk/  *

Oxford Reading Owl have allowed all children access to our current scheme. Children can read all of their books, listen to the books through an audio recording and answer questions afterwards to test comprehension. It’s brilliant, highly recommend.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

Everything else we are sharing is offered to provide distraction, entertainment or to maintain our sense of community. We don’t want families to feel overwhelmed or guilty. Take on only what is reasonable.

You can also upload a book review to our school Book Review site – it really is easy!

See http://northnibley.weebly.com/submit-a-review.html

Batchelor’s Bafflers! Approximately once a week I’ll set an online quiz! See the updates on Class Dojo.

From time to time I will  set a photo challenge. You can read about the latest challenge on Class Dojo and on the submission web page here – http://northnibley.weebly.com/photo-challenge.html

At other times, a member of the support staff from within the school will be setting a surprise challenge!
