On Monday we entered a team in the local tennis tournament held at KLB for Years 3 and 4 boys and girls from local Primary Schools. One child really enjoyed it, though we were up against tough competition from schools such as Cam Everlands and Kingswood. Another remembers that there were eight matches including boy singles, girl singles and mixed doubles. One thought it was very exciting. At the end there was a final match against Lakefield which we all played in. As a result the team go through to the County Level 3 finals – the same competition in which we won County Gold for Archery last year!
This year children in Years 2 and 6 will take the new-style SATS, designed to reflect the increased challenge of the new curriculum. Class 1 thoroughly enjoyed the visit of a lamb today. Mr Eley was on hand to answer questions about lambs and his work, and the children were given a fantastic opportunity to get up close to the woolly visitor.

District Champions! North Nibley pupils add “Rugby District Champion” status to their already impressive haul of other “Championship”wins in athletics, tennis, orienteering and cricket. Amelie said “North Nibley pupils split into two different rugby teams.” Each team in the tournament (and there were 14 teams all together) represented a country in the Rugby World Cup….
