What an amazing season! Our Cross-country runners were in fine form for the final race of the season, and after all the results were collated and crunched, we were over the moon to find we had retained the Small Schools shield for the 5th consecutive year. Plenty of strong individual performances, in this race and the proceeding three, meant that individual runners were celebrating too, cheered on by family and friends. Despite a muddy and extra-long course, the children gave it everything and each and every one can feel proud of their efforts. This year saw the first presentation of the ‘best school’ award, where the results of large and small schools are compared – and we were thrilled to have won this as well! The shields will be presented to the team in the Friday Assembly on the 24th. Congratulations to all the runners in whatever capacity they ran, and to the adults who work so effectively in providing the training and support week in, week out!
